Ridge Vineyards
Wednesday, June 3, 2026 | 7 - 9pm
This month, we’re heading to California to explore one of the most important and quietly influential producers in American wine: Ridge Vineyards.
Founded in the Santa Cruz Mountains and shaped by legendary winemaker Paul Draper, Ridge built its reputation by doing things differently — championing old vineyards, minimal intervention winemaking, and a deep belief that great wines should reflect place above all else. Long before ingredient transparency and natural winemaking became industry buzzwords, Ridge was already practicing restraint, transparency, and site-driven farming.
Throughout the evening, we’ll taste our way through a lineup that spans fresh summer whites, old-vine field blends, mountain Cabernet, and one of California’s most iconic wines. The tasting lineup includes:
• Chenin Blanc Heringer 2025
• Rosé Lytton Estate 2025
• Grenache Blanc Adelaida 2024
• Zinfandel East Bench 2023
• Geyserville 2023
• Zinfandel Paso Robles 2023
• Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
• Monte Bello 2022
• Petite Sirah Lytton Estate 2022
From old vines planted in the 1880s to high-elevation vineyards cooled by Pacific winds, these wines tell the story of a producer that has always valued place over trend. We’ll finish with Ridge’s legendary Monte Bello — the historic wine that famously outperformed some of Bordeaux’s greatest estates in a re-staging of the Judgment of Paris tasting decades later.
As always, Adam Venable will guide us through the evening with stories, context, and approachable conversation alongside charcuterie from The Spotted Trotter.
